Planning – need for hard evidence of demand

There’s absolutely no point in trying to manage a product or service without concrete, hard evidence of demand.  Too many product and service ideas come from inside organisations and the active imaginations of managers; very risky.  In this day and age when we’re all being encouraged to be entrepreneurial, the real skill is in identifying real needs and then going about serving those needs in a unique way.
